I finally set the Twilight books down and went to a crop Friday night! I have had this Christmas paper and wooden book sitting in a box for a while. I was going to make it a Christmas "quote" book to sit on my coffee table but I couldn't find clear stickers that I liked. So, I guess I will have to take pics at Christmas this year to put in this book!
Supplies: background papers by Mind Minds Eye (also the punch outs) & BoBunny, cardstock by Bazill, ribbon by May Arts, SU & BoBunny, flowers by Petaloo, bling from Michael's $1 spot, Chestnut Roan chalk in by Colorbox, foam stickers by American Crafts, silver rings from Office Max, UHU glue stick & board book (I don't remember who made the book)

Loserville: population 1
Yes I am a loser. I have gotten sucked into the Twilight books and I cannot stop reading them. I have read all 4 of them twice now. I promise to get back to stamping just as soon as I can. I think I may be able to put the books down tomorrow. Hopefully, I can otherwise, my nephew's aren't getting birthday cards this month! lol!

Happy Saturday!
Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a good weekend! This last week was crazy and I meant to upload this card earlier in the week. This coming week is a short week work wise for me so I hope to get more blog posts in. I have Thursday AND Friday off! YAY! It's a rare treat to get an extra day off! I won't be doing much shopping as I am cutting back on spending. I will be making LOTS of Christmas gifts this year and hopefully using up the mass quantities of stuff I have collected this year. I see chipboard shaped books for most of my family this year.
This card was made with stuff I had on hand. Nothing had to be purchased to complete it. I had enough paper, bling, ribbon, etc., to make 12 of these for my card basket. I love how bright and cheery this paper is. It pains me to cut into background paper so I had to make sure I used it all.
Supplies: Happy Birthday stamp, Basic Black & Whisper White ink & cardstocks from SU, printed papers from Sandylion, bling & black brads by Paper Studio, Marvy punches, ribbon by Bazzil

Thanksgiving cards
Sorry for the week between posts. I was going to post over the weekend, but I got sick on Saturday night at my friend's party. Friends should not let friends drink diet Coke with Splenda. Just sayin'. I spent Saturday evening and all day yesterday feeling like I was going to die. I am feeling MUCH better today!
My friend's party was great! She was surprised! I thought for sure she was on to us. She actually got 2 parties out of us. We threw her a really lame fake party the night before to throw her off!
On to stamping...Every year, I spend lots of time making nice Thanksgiving cards and every year, I forget to mail them. This year, I have them all done and envelopes addressed. Lol! Now to get some postage on these babies and dropped in a mail box! I keep telling myself, baby steps!
Supplies: Chocolate Fudge cardstock from Archivers, Pumpkin Pie & Confetti White cardstock, corner punch & Chocolate Chip ink from SU, Mellow paper from Basic Grey, Happy Thanksgiving stamp by Stampabilities, antiqued copper brads, paper flower from Michael's, brown twill from Fabric Barn, pop dots

Sympathy
I do not like making sympathy cards. They are my least favorite cards to make. I usually make them in large quantities so I don't have to make them very often. I went to my card basket and discovered that I was out of them so I had to quickly make one last night. This card is for my friend Nancy who owns my favorite scrap store here in Omaha. Her 23 year old son died early Friday morning. I feel so badly for her & her family. 23 is too young to die and a parent should not have to bury their child.
Supplies: green, brown & teal cardstocks from Hobby Lobby, confetti white cardstock from SU, printed paper by My Minds Eye, green & brown Primas, vanilla brads by Bazill, label cut from Quick Kutz die
